How to remove and replace the outer side view mirrors on 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300TD?

To remove the side view mirror control handles, push the plastic locks with a screwdriver and withdraw the handles. Pry off the cover plates to access the screws, then remove them and lift off the Side View Mirrors. Tighten the clamp screws if the Side View Mirrors shift. Replace the glass panels by prying them from the heads.
