How to remove the steering column on 2005 Mercedes-Benz C240?

In order to dismantle the steering column, lift the vehicle, take away splash shields and label the lower steering shaft. Unscrew the lower shaft out of the coupling, and the instrument cluster, and unscrew the electric lock (unless it is not there). Lastly, the steering column should be removed with a proper fit to be used upon reinstitution.
