How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2007 Mercedes-Benz C230?

For V6 and four-cylinder models, replacing the CKP sensor requires re-initialization with a STAR DIAGNOSIS unit. The sensor, located on the upper left rear of the engine block, is accessed by removing covers and possibly the MAF/IAT sensor. Follow reverse order for installation.
