Always change the calipers in pairs, never change only one of the calipers. To disassemble, unscrew wheel bolts, raise up the car and place it on jackstands and loosen the wheels. Unless the equipment is supplied otherwise, disconnect any electrical connectors, and remove wiring harnesses of the caliper-mounted brake pad wear sensors. Disattach the brake line and bracket with the
Brake Hose, and cap or plug the ends of the brake line and brake hose to avoid leakage of fluid and inclusion of contaminants in the brake system. Loosen the caliper brake hose fitting with flare-nut wrench. When only maintenance is required, do not disconnect the hose with the brake line, or disconnect the hose fitting in the caliper. Then loosen the caliper mounting bolts, then loosen the caliper out of the bracket or steering knuckle. When the caliper is being disassembled to access it and still has the hose to it, hold it with a piece of wire. To install, undo all steps taken during the removal process, reconnecting the caliper mounting bolts, brake hose connection, and brake line-to-brake hose connection in that order to the correct torque values. Tighten screw connector(s) in the brake pad wear sensor. In the case of disconnection of a hose, bleed the brake system. And lastly, fit the wheels and bolts, lowered the vehicle, tightened the bolts to the required torque.
