First, use the steering lock, and place the key into the key lock cylinder and move the key up to the 1 (unlocked) position. Uncouple the cable of the negative Battery terminal. Take the cover of the Instrument Panel over to the left off. Insert the special bolt that connects the steering lock into the steering column until the tab fits correctly into the slot, then remove the bolt by sliding the lock out of the steering column, unplugging its electrical connector, and removing it from the vehicle. To install be in the same order that you remove. Where the ignition switch is, now, again unscrew the cable on the negative end of the battery and put this steering column down all the way. Take the trim panel out under the instrument panel. Transform the nut that attaches the ignition switch with a four pronged tool or needle nose pliers. Unscrew the screws along the bottom of the trim panel the switch will be mounted in, and slip the panel downward very cautiously to prevent breakage, then scrap the switch out. In automatic transmission, remove the shift interlock cable of the switch and unplug the electrical connectors and disassemble switch. Installation occurs in the opposite manner to removal.
