How to remove and install the Air Temperature Sensor and Mass Air Flow Sensor on V6 on Mercedes-Benz C230?

In V6 models, the MAF/IAT sensor is located beneath the engine cover and air filtering chamber, above the air intake, which is ducted to the throttle vacuum, and then upward behind the elbow-shaped crosspiece of the air intake duct. Start with unplugging the air intake duct at the MAF/IAT sensor and the air duct that goes to the air intake sounder. Then extract electrical connector(MAF/IAT sensor) by strongly holding it, pushing the release tabs and pulling in one way. Unplugging the PCV hose can be either done by removing the hose clip located on the right side of the sensor and removing the sensor by using a screwdriver to unlock the clamp as well as undoing the clamp support brackets. Insert the metal spring clamp to the lower end of the sensor, pry it back with a screwdriver to unhook it out of the elbow-shaped air intake duct, then straight up pull the sensor. Check the big rubber seal on the inside of the duct and make changes as needed. Installation is backwards so that all the support brackets of the clamp should be in contact with the lugs on the intake manifold. In four-cylinder models, the MAF/IAT sensor is at the left hand side of the engine. Begin by unscrewing the engine cover and unplugging the electric connector of the sensor. Unscrew the hose clamp fastening the air scoop to the short connection hose, loosen the air scoop on the throttle body and take it off. Next take off the hose clamp holding short connection hose to sensor and hose. Lastly, unscrew the bolts around the sensor and the sensor and installing is the opposite of removing. With 2003-2005 models the sensor will be located in the rear of the air filter housing and the procedure is still the same except the engine block cover and electrical connection need to be removed, then the air filter housing, then remove the bolts that hold the sensor to the air intake duct. Installation is once again the opposite of demobilisation.
