To renew the left- and right-hand engine mountings, the front of the vehicle should be raised and supported, the engine must be adequately supported, and the engine undershield removed. The adjusting bolt from the engine movement stop should be unscrewed if applicable, and the bolts securing the engine mountings to the front crossmember should be removed. After unclipping the cooling fan shroud, the engine can be lifted with a hoist, and any necessary heat shields removed. The engine mountings can then be withdrawn, and the engine mounting brackets can be unbolted from the cylinder block if desired.
