How to remove the cylinder head in the Six-cylinder petrol engine on 1987 Mercedes-Benz 190E?

In order to take out the cylinder head, make sure that the engine is cold and your battery is disconnected. Dump the cooling system, detach the camshaft sprocker, and unscrew a number of hoses and cables. Unscrew and pull out the cylinder head bolts and then lift the head. Check and clean surfaces, reassembling, making sure it is all in place.
