How to inspect and renew the timing chain in the Diesel engine on 1987 Mercedes-Benz 190E?

Removing the camshaft cover, and turning the engine allows one to see the timing chain. Grind off old chain, fit in new chain and put alignment. Install parts and re-attach battery.
