- Q: How to remove and install the instrument cluster on the instrument panel on 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300TD?A: Take off the glove compartment, under dash panels and pry out the windshield mouldings. Disengage radio speaker covers, light switch and parking brake chain. Unscrew hoses and cables, strip the instrument panel of bolts and pull it out. To install it, reverse the process, and all the bolts should be tightened.
