Disconnect the negative cable at the battery and place it out of the way to prevent accidental contact with the negative terminal, which would allow power back into the vehicle's electrical system. Remove the under dash panel, then reach up behind the cluster with one hand to push it out of the instrument panel while guiding the front with the other hand. Alternatively, a hooked tool can be inserted into the gap between the cluster and instrument panel to pull the cluster away from the panel, working around its outer circumference. Disconnect the speedometer, oil pressure, and electrical connectors, then withdraw the instrument cluster from the instrument panel. For installation, reverse the removal process, ensuring the molded rubber strip around the cluster seats securely in the instrument panel.
