How to maintain the air filter on 1991 Mercedes-Benz 190E?

In the case of the turbo-diesel engines, take off the air cleaner cover and filter, clean the air cleaner and place another filter. In the case of normally-aspirated engines, disassemble and remove ducting, filter, clean the air cleaner and install a new filter. Reconnect the ducting and the cover, making sure that it is well oriented.
