How to remove and refit the differential and final drive unit on 1991 Mercedes-Benz 190E?

In order to service the differential, lift and hold the car, detach the rear wheels, driveshafts and propeller shaft. Unscrew the final drive casing, drop and take out. Refit in the centre, fit front and rear bolts, refit propeller shaft, driveshafts, tighten all nuts to specification, refill differential oil, and refit ABS sensors, heat shields, and wheels and then lower the vehicle.
