How to remove and refit the exhaust manifold on 1993 Mercedes-Benz 190E?

Support and lift the car to take off the exhaust manifold. Unscrew U-bolt nuts, take out the heat shield of the 6-cylinder models and disconnect the downpipe(s). Unbolt parts such as dipstick tube and air injection nozzle (where applicable), remove manifold nuts, etc. Take off manifold, brush off surfaces and reassemble with new nuts.
