How to remove and refit of the Lift Support strut on 1993 Mercedes-Benz 190E?

In order to take out the strut, open the bonnet, then use the release wire clip and as long as it is locked up, push it up. Then take out the bottom retaining clip, unscrew the top nut and take out the strut. To refit reverse the sequence of removal.
