How to remove and install a crankshaft seal on 2003 Mercedes-Benz C230?

Take the crankshaft pulley off, and press the old seal off the crankshaft with great care to avoid scratches on it. Record the depth and direction of seal. Apply a coat of engine oil along the inside lip of the new seal, and impale it with a seal driver or socket. Installation is the reverse of the steps.
