In order to replace the steering lock, one has to turn the ignition key towards the unlocked position, disconnect the battery and then disassemble the lower left instrument panel cover. Take the steering lock away and its electrical connector. In the case of the ignition switch, it will be to lower the steering column, detach the trim panel and unscrew the switch.
