In the case of models with EZL ignition, see the corresponding information. With models that have TSZ ignition, pull off the battery negative lead and move it off the terminal. Then take off the protective cap and take the ignition coil lead off the center terminal. Then detach the nuts and cut off positive and negative LT lead connections to the terminal studs, labeling each LT cable connection by position to prevent confusion during re-connection. Unscrew the mounting screws, remove the coil and mounting bracket and lift out of position around the inner wing. Inspect the safety plug on the upper part of the coil; in case the oil coolant has become excessively hot, and the plug becomes pop out, the ignition coil should be changed by finding the source of the fault and correcting it. Reassembly is executed in the opposite sequence of disassembling.
