Removed negative cable at the battery and put it aside to avoid accidental contact with the negative terminal, which would then be able to put power back into the electrical system of the vehicle. To remove the wiper arms, and the plastic heater air intake grilles in the cowl can be removed by pushing the clip center pins out of the clips with a narrow screwdriver, prying out the clips and pulling the grilles forward. Unscrew the center panel, wiper arm shaft cap and nut (where applicable), then the screws, then onward pushing out the center clip pins and then the center panel. Separate the operating rods of the wiper motor crank and from the spindle drain tube, where necessary.
