How to remove and install a steering wheel on 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300TD?

De-contact the negative battery cable to avoid flow of power. In the pre-1979 models, the horn pad should be removed, in the later models it should be pried off the logo. The steering wheel and column positions should be marked, the retaining screw removed and the wheel withdrawn. Reinstall Reverse the procedure and align marks.
