How to remove and refit the door lock actuator on Mercedes-Benz 190E?

To remove the door lock, complete with solenoid, from the front or rear doors as applicable, carefully prise off the plastic cover over the solenoid and lock connecting levers. Next, push the retaining clip end upwards and remove it from the interior lock button rod. Withdraw the interior lock button rod to release the solenoid operating rod, and then withdraw the solenoid. For refitting, follow the reverse sequence of the removal process.
