To remove the instrument panel, first disconnect the battery negative terminal, then remove the steering wheel and the cover under the facia on the driver's side. Next, work under the facia from below to detach the air duct to the right-hand vent for access to the rear of the instrument panel. Unscrew the
Speedometer Cable retaining nut and withdraw the cable, then push out the instrument panel from the rear to release it from the five retaining spring clips. Make a note of the wiring plugs and connections on the rear of the panel, disconnect them from both the left-hand and right-hand sides, and finally remove the panel from the car. For refitting, follow the reverse sequence of the removal process.
