Block the front wheels, raise the rear of the vehicle, and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the rear wheels. For models equipped with level control, mark the location of the level control link on the sway bar and disconnect the link. Remove the nuts securing the ends of the sway bar to the links and pull out the links. Unbolt the mounting clamps from the underbody and remove the mounting plates and rubber mounts. Disconnect the rubber exhaust mount rings and lower the rear exhaust onto a jackstand or similar support. Withdraw the sway bar through the right side wheel well. Inspect the rubber mounts for wear and damage, replacing as necessary. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring that the bends on the bar between the mount and the link face downward. For models equipped with level control, have the rear body level checked by a dealer.
