Unless it is possible to obtain clean and dust-free places, this operation cannot be tried. Lift the car and place it on axle stands and place the car level. Where possible, the body undershield should be removed to access the transmission. Whether you have transmission as a gear or not, first move the transmission selector lever to position P. Wipe transmission fluid pan especially around the drain pan, the pan-to-transmission securing bolts and lid, pan-to-transmission joint. Put an appropriate container under this transmission drain plug, unscrew the drain plug with an Allen key or hexagon bit and the fluid is drained into the container. When the fluid has been emptied, refit the drain plug. With the socket on the crankshaft pulley hub bolt, rotate the crankshaft to observing that the torque converter drain plug appears through the opening in the transmission casing. Once again, position the container under the drain plug of the torque converter and unscrew it and leave the fluid drained into the container, then screw the drain plug back on. So loosen the fluid pan by screwing off the fluid pan attaching bolts, disengaging the clamping plates then lower the fluid pan out of the transmission, tapping it with a soft-faced mallet in case it is not easily lifted, and retrieving a rubber seal. Loosen the screws of screwdriver and remove the filter screen. Clean the fluid pan with a clean lint-free cloth and rinse liquid slide with this lint-free cloth. Install a fresh filter screen and screw the securing screws tighter. Install the fluid pan into position, re-install the clamp plates and indicating bolts, and ensure all the bolts are tightened to the recommended value. Where necessary, refit underbody shield. Move the vehicle to the ground, open the locking lever, and take out the fluid level dipstick. First pour 4. 0 litre of the marked fluid slowly into the transmission by means of the dipstick tube. Turn the engine on and leave it idle using a selection lever in position P. Add fluid until you reach a level 12.0 mm below lower ("MIN") mark on dipstick. Slide the selector lever over all the gear positions, resting a few seconds each at that position, then slip the lever back to the position marked P. Check the level of the fluid again, and continue the process till the fluid does not change level anymore. Lastly, go on a short test drive and test the fluid level.
