On refitting a new lower arm inner pivot bolt nut, anti-roll bar connecting link nut, etc. will be necessary. I start by chocking the front wheels, jacking the rear of the machine, and then placing the machine on axel supports preceding the removal of the corresponding roadwheel. Attach the spring compressor and push away all pressure of the coil spring until the spring seats are free. Unscrew the screws that hold the protective cover in place at the bottom of the lower suspension arm, then place a jack with a block of wood under the arm and raise it until it is firmly held in place. Loosen and take out the nut so as to disengage the pivot bolt connecting the rear of the lower suspension arm to the subframe, and loosen the nut and bolt used in connecting the anti-roll bar between the lower arm and the link. Cautiously unload the lower suspension arm using the same procedure, taking care not to lose the coil spring or upper spring seat and checking them, as well as the upper spring seat, for signs of wear or tear and replacing the item where needed. Check everything is clean with the lower arm spring seat, fit upper spring seat to coil spring and manipulate spring into position, positioning lower end of spring firmly against the stop on lower arm seat. Fit the upper spring seat up to the body mount and raise the lower arm slowly as you align the lower arm with the subframe. Be sure the spring is properly in place, insert lower arm pivot bolt and fit a new nut to pivot bolt, loosely fastening at this point. Fit a new anti-roll bar connecting link bolt and screw new retaining nut to others with definite torque. Lift the jack up, and under the bottom arm, push the spring compressor up without injuring its upper and lower parts or loosening the fitting in any manner. Install the roadwheel again, drop the vehicle to the ground and screw in the wheel bolts to the required tension. At the reclining point of the vehicle on the wheels, roll the vehicle to adjust the spring and the lower arm and attach the lower arm pivot bolt nut to the required degree of torque, and relong the protective cover on the lower arm, ensuring that its retaining screws are securely tight.
