To do the removal process, you should have an appropriate lifting tackles and a hoist. Unscrew the negative lead on the battery, and de-assemble the air cleaner assembly. Un-clip the cooling fan shroud and clamp it on top of the fan blades. Then take off the engine undershield, and the front anti-roll bar, which can be left on (jutting mounting-bolts removed). Vacate the engine oil and (where they exist) remove the wiring connected to the oil level sensor and oil pressure warning light switch. In models which have an automatic transmission, disassemble the securing bolts and detach the transmission fluid cooler lines in the oil pan. There are also similar models that have self-leveling suspension, in the process, unscrew the fixing bolt and remove the hydraulic fluid line. Disband the exhaust front parts with the manifold and unscrew the clamp nuts (where necessary) to lift the exhaust system off the bracket of the transmission. SAFETY Some bulkhead and brake pipes may be damaged by space debris striking them between the engine and the bulkhead at the rear of the engine compartment, so cover this area with card of a metal material, or thick card, to offer remote shielding. Unscrew the steering drag link handle in the left and steering damper in the right. Connect a hoist to the engine lifting brackets and hoist it a bit to just receive the weight. Unbolt the lower engine mounting bolts on both sides, and then remove the engine by taking care not to disturb the oil pan bolts. Unscrew and remove the oil pan securing bolts in a diagonal sequence, recording the position of the oil pan securing bolts in the refitting sequence, then use the oil pan to loose the gasket. To refit, clean up what was left of the old gasket on the oil pan and cylinder block then place a new gasket on the oil pan and lift it up into the bolts, working into place until each attaches at the torque. Insert the engine into the port and reattach the bottom engine mounting bolts with a specified torque. Unharness the lifting tackle, lay up the hoist and reconnect the steering damper and drag link. Install new nuts on the clamp that attaches the exhaust system to the transmission bracket, reconnect the front parts of the exhaust to the manifold, reattach any bolts holding the transmission fluid cooler or self-leveling suspension hydraulic lines to the oil pan, etc. Wiring to the oil pressure warning light switch and, where fitted, to the oil level sensor can be re-connected and the front anti-roll bar refitted. Install oil drain plug, tighten it then check that the engine undershield, cooling fan shroud, and air cleaner assembly are reinstalled. Lastly, Your Drop Gate, After turning the vehicle to the ground remove the battery negative lead, and refill the engine with the proper grade and amount of oil then replace the battery negative lead.
